HealthFinder is an independent healthcare directory for India. Who runs HealthFinder?

Alka Tiwari
Founder and CEO, HealthFinder · Chandigarh
Alka Tiwari founded HealthFinder in Chandigarh in 2019 as an online marketplace for diagnostic bookings and a doctor directory for the Tricity, and ran the Doctor's Talk with Alka interview series with local specialists. A digital marketer and web developer by training, educated at Kurukshetra University, she started the site because patients in the Tricity waited weeks for scans at government hospitals and had no single place to compare private options and prices. She leads the 2026 nationwide relaunch.
In the press: ThePrint (ANI), 30 August 2021: "HealthFinder extends their healthcare and wellness roof for diagnostic services in Chandigarh".
Why does HealthFinder exist?
HealthFinder began as a Chandigarh doctor and diagnostic directory on healthfinder.in and relaunched in 2026 as a nationwide directory with a new data model. The reason is simple: the facts a patient needs before choosing care, which hospital is on the Ayushman register, what a scan costs at a named centre, whether a doctor is registered, sit in separate places and are rarely dated. HealthFinder reads those sources, keeps each figure with its source and date, and shows them side by side.
How is HealthFinder funded?
Hospitals and doctors do not pay to be listed and cannot pay for a higher position. Providers can claim a listing to correct details. Requests sent through the site go to the provider the reader picked. HealthFinder is an information and referral service, not a medical provider. See how the listings are built.
